Colour Options Information

Rust - Corten Steel

The result of many years of development that has produced a Rust effect where we are able to control the amount of rusting, the depth of colour and the patina. We can also fix that moment in time, stopping further rusting and preventing rusty run off onto finished surfaces.We guarantee that no one will be able to tell that your fibreglass planter or seat is not made from real Corten steel. For roof gardens and terraces in particular this is a game changing finish. But we recommend it for anywhere Corten steel was to be used. Fibreglass much lighter, just as strong and every bit as long lasting.

Verdigris / Verdirust

Verdigris finish uses real metal to create a thin copper plating on the surface of the fibreglass. This oxidises naturally in the elements creating a beautiful blue / green patina over time. As the finish is the product of genuinely oxidised copper, it behaves in exactly the same way meaning the effect is fragile and can be rubbed off accidentally.

However, like corten steel, verdigris can be fixed by application of a specially developed lacquer which makes the surface much more robust without dramatically changing the effect.Verdirust is a unique blending of our rust and Verdigris finishes to give a truly beautiful combination of colour and patina. Like all these 8real9 metal finishes, each product will be 100% unique as the process produces a different look every time.

Aged Lead / Antique Lead

Our venerable aged lead finish is still one of the most popular among garden designers and commercial landscapers alike. Often also used as a darker grey concrete effect, aged lead has a dark base with a mottled whitish bloom over the top, just like real oxidised lead. It's an integrated finish, meaning the colour is fixed into the product when made, but like terracotta, the white bloom can be accidentally removed so some care in handling and maintenance is required. All aged lead products have a different, natural, appearance and will change with the weather as the outer product surface is porous and will take up moisture from the rain and in the air.

Tuscan Terracotta

While real terracotta is a beautiful addition to any garden, there are major drawbacks, particularly when going large. With our terracotta finish the problems of weight, cost and frost resistance are all solved at a stroke without any compromise on the look required. Once planted you absolutely cannot tell that you are looking at anything other than a genuine terracotta pot. Over the years many of our customers have use the finish to allow tree planting in terracotta on roof gardens and terraces, something completely impossible with the genuine article. We offer two shades of terracotta, Tuscan and light which is a brown hue Tuscan.

Concrete/ EarthenwareEarthenware recreates the look of baked raw clay, while Concrete is a light grey recreation where a roughcast look is required.Both are very hardwearing with the finish integral to the surface of the fibreglass. A mottled aging effect is created with the addition of an electrostatically charged whitish dust that give the finish its whitish bloom. This will remain part of the finish forever unless accidentally removed by rubbing it off with a cloth. We give full instructions on care to prevent this happening. Like Terracotta, these finishes have all the look of the genuine materials but none of the weight issues. If a darker colour concrete is requested then try our aged lead finish which provides a similar effect.The finishes are now available in rustic style with an even more realistic broken surface.

Delivery

In most cases your order will be sent directly from our partners and manufacturers based across Europe

Delivery is to mainland UK excluding the Isles of Jersey and Guernsey.
IMPORTANT: There will be extra charges for any deliveries offshore – except the Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland.

Delivery time for products in stock is 7-12 working days. Unforeseen circumstances may occur which may delay a delivery. Consequential costs cannot be claimed. Partial deliveries for multiple items are not possible

Deliveries are kerbside only. You must be present for offloading. If you are not present to receive the delivery, a redelivery charge may apply. In case of unsuccessful delivery due to incorrect details being provided additional transport costs may be charged.

The address must be accessible with an 18 ton lorry with a tail lift (similar to the image below). Lorry dimensions are typically 8-10m long, 2.5m tall and 2.5m wide.

Please note, for items over 2 meters in length or diameter, you are responsible for unloading from the lorry at the point of delivery. These items cannot be unloaded via a standard tail lift and will be delivered with a single driver. If you do not have access to a forklift or unloading facilities, please contact us and we will try to assist you.

For items longer than 3 meters, please contact us before you order.

The delivery costs that apply per order are:

FREE DELIVERY on orders over £950

Parcel deliveries via DHL; will have a charge of £12.00 per order. Maximum 4 products per order with maximum dimensions of 600x600x600mm - 1000x400x400mm – bowls up to 800mm, Maximum 30kg per product)
Pallet deliveries via Dachser ; will have a charge of £50 per order

SURCHARGES - Minimum order amount

Parcel deliveries via DHL will have a surcharge of £10 for orders under £100
Pallet deliveries via Dachser will have a surcharge of £40 for orders under £650

Pallet deliveries: Deliveries are made between 8.30 - 5.00, it is not possible to specify a time. Our courier will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery day. The courier will not attempt delivery until contact has been made with you. Please ensure that you point out any potential delivery issues, such as restricted access, at this time. Actions required to overcome delivery issues may be chargeable to you, particularly if only discovered on the day of delivery.

Parcel deliveries: No delivery appointment will be made for orders that will be delivered by DHL. You will receive an email from DHL with the tracking details.

Returns: You can return your order up to 14 days after delivery

Please note that you are responsible for arranging the return of your order and for the costs of returning your order to us unless we have delivered the item to you in error. All return items must have original tags and packaging; and not been used or modified in any way.

Please unpack and remove all packing and inspect for any damages. Any damage or issues with your delivery must be reported within 48hours of receiving,

We cannot accept returns on any made-to-order products.
