Corten Steel Stairs
Corten steel garden stairs, designed for durable, multi-level landscaping, are ideal for property owners, garden professionals, and outdoor designers looking to navigate sloped or tiered spaces. These ready-to-install stair units combine strength with a clean, modern look, making them a practical solution for connecting different garden levels.
Manufactured from high-quality weathering steel, the stairs develop a protective rusted patina over time that resists corrosion. Available in widths from 1000 mm to 3000 mm, with standard step heights of 170 mm and configurations of up to 15 steps, they offer a robust and low-maintenance option for outdoor use.
Delivery time. Some sizes are available from stock within our standard delivery time. Other sizes (particularly the larger items )are made to order so delivery time can be up to 6 weeks. Please check before ordering to confirm delivery tim.
Please note, for items over 2 meters in length, you are responsible for unloading from the lorry at the point of delivery. These items cannot be unloaded via a standard tail lift and will be delivered with a single driver. If you do not have access to a forklift or unloading facilities, please contact us and we will try to assist you.

Delivery is to mainland UK excluding the Isles of Jersey and Guernsey.
IMPORTANT: There will be extra charges for any deliveries offshore – except the Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland.
Delivery time for products in stock is 7-12 working days. Unforeseen circumstances may occur which may delay a delivery. Consequential costs cannot be claimed. Partial deliveries for multiple items are not possible
Deliveries are kerbside only. You must be present for offloading. If you are not present to receive the delivery, a redelivery charge may apply. In case of unsuccessful delivery due to incorrect details being provided additional transport costs may be charged.
The address must be accessible with an 18 ton lorry with a tail lift (similar to the image below). Lorry dimensions are typically 8-10m long, 2.5m tall and 2.5m wide.

The delivery costs that apply per order are:
FREE DELIVERY on orders over £950
- Parcel deliveries via DHL; will have a charge of £12.00 per order. Maximum 4 products per order with maximum dimensions of 600x600x600mm - 1000x400x400mm – bowls up to 800mm, Maximum 30kg per product)
- Pallet deliveries via Dachser ; will have a charge of £50 per order
SURCHARGES - Minimum order amount
- Parcel deliveries via DHL will have a surcharge of £10 for orders under £100
- Pallet deliveries via Dachser will have a surcharge of £40 for orders under £650
Pallet deliveries: Deliveries are made between 8.30 - 5.00, it is not possible to specify a time. Our courier will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery day. The courier will not attempt delivery until contact has been made with you. Please ensure that you point out any potential delivery issues, such as restricted access, at this time. Actions required to overcome delivery issues may be chargeable to you, particularly if only discovered on the day of delivery.
Parcel deliveries: No delivery appointment will be made for orders that will be delivered by DHL. You will receive an email from DHL with the tracking details.
Returns: You can return your order up to 14 days after delivery
Please note that you are responsible for arranging the return of your order and for the costs of returning your order to us unless we have delivered the item to you in error. All return items must have original tags and packaging; and not been used or modified in any way.
Please unpack and remove all packing and inspect for any damages. Any damage or issues with your delivery must be reported within 48hours of receiving,
We cannot accept returns on any made-to-order products.
What is Corten Steel?
Corten Steel, also known as weather resistant steel, is a very strong steel alloy. As soon as Corten Steel garden planter is exposed to the elements it will naturally weather and develop a protective layer of rust. This natural coating of rust provides protection against further corrosion. Our Corten Steel products are delivered in an un-rusted state and the weathering process will take about 4-5 months to complete.

- Corten steel steps are very robust, hard-wearing, weatherproof, low-maintenance and durable.
- The corten steel has a standard thickness of 3 mm.
- The stairs can be made to order in different widths.
- Products are delivered without rust. The corten steel rusting process takes about 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions.
- The rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective anti-rust coating. Owatrol protects the stairs and stops the rust on corten steel flaking off.
Important Information
- Our stairs are delivered fully welded and assembled.
- Stairs with 8 or more steps must be installed with a slope. They cannot be placed cantilevered.
- Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. If the product is left in its packaging, it may develop uneven rust patches.
- Corten steel should not be used in conditions that are continuously wet or damp.
- We do not recommend using corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
- The weathering process may cause rust run-off.
- The guarantee expires if you drill or grind in a way that is not specified.
- Clean annually by hosing dirt from the product with clean tap water.
