Using a pergola to create space in a town garden.

Jane Holtham Garden Design has transformed a North London garden into a tranquil space, somewhere to escape the noise of the city.

We caught up with Jane to find out more about the project.

"It was important that the garden on this project was in unison with the clean lines of the new kitchen extension. And I wanted to create an enclosed seating area away from the house with a fire pit for summer evenings." 

Jane envisaged a sleek aluminium pergola to perfectly complement the new extension.

"I follow Yard Garden Style on Instagram and had seen the pergolas there. I knew one would be perfect for my vision for the space. The whole process from ordering to installation was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. And the finished product looks great. It’s beautifully made. Despite its size, it complements the space rather than overwhelms it."

The Pergola Installation Process

After discussion with Jane, our skilled team at Yard Garden Style installed the pergoala on site.  Our team are extremely expierienced with these pergolas, ensuring a seamless process for you or your clients.  

The unique system uses lightweight aluminium profiles to form the pergola structure. The system enables the pergola to be assembled on site, and the strength of the aluminium allows for much larger spans and smaller profiles than a traditional timber pergola. Pergolas, and other structures can be made fully bespoke to your design.

The addition of stainless steel wires to the roof of the pergola will enable a climbing plant to cover the pergola in time.

With the installation complete, the clients can now enjoy evenings outside, surrounded by the beauty and elegance of their new garden oasis.
